This project involved developing a new visual identity and brand for The Pressroom Restaurant + Bar in downtown Lancaster, PA. The new color palette reflects the tones of the restaurant’s new architecture and decor, with a subtle nod to the use of copper throughout the history of The Pressroom’s interior design. The logo's icon is a modernized take on the restaurant’s historic logo, which featured an illustration of a man holding a newspaper — which reflects the nearby newspaper press operation. The two typefaces of the logo combine for balance, authority, legibility, and a little bit of playfulness (the distressed secondary typeface hints at the process of ink printed on paper in newspaper production).
